Pet Stain & Odor Treatment for Couches and Upholstery
Spotly treats pet stains and couch odors at your home. Odor treatment is an additional service combined with full upholstery cleaning. We assess the source and confirm the extra treatment and price before work begins.
Pet Urine, Pet Odors and Everyday Couch Smells
A pet accident and an odor from everyday use are different problems. We’ll discuss the source and affected areas after reviewing your photos and ZIP code.
Photos help show condition and fabric, but they cannot show odor intensity. We’ll discuss the smell and any previous treatments with you when preparing your quote.
Fabric and Cushion Assessment
We assess the fabric and affected areas before selecting a treatment. We’ll discuss care instructions if needed. We’ll ask about the cushions if needed; do not assume a cover can be machine washed.
We confirm the agreed work and price before cleaning.
What to Include in Your Quote Request
Send photos of your sofa or chair and your ZIP code to get started. We’ll ask about the odor and any previous treatments when discussing your quote. Odor treatment is carried out with a full couch or sectional clean, not as a standalone service.
For visible marks without an odor concern, see upholstery stain removal. For an affected bed, request mattress cleaning and send photos with your ZIP code.
Planning Your Visit and Aftercare
Keep the affected area accessible and tell us about stairs, parking or entry instructions when booking. After treatment, allow the furniture to dry before normal use and follow the care guidance discussed during the visit.
This service focuses on fabric furniture. It does not include treating contaminated floors or walls, leather cleaning, or wall-to-wall carpet cleaning.
How We Treat Upholstery Odors
The odor treatment below is carried out alongside the full clean, with products and methods selected for the fabric and affected areas.
Cleaning and extraction
The process includes dry vacuuming, shampoo treatment, mechanical brushing, extraction and pH neutralization, plus local stain treatment. For odor concerns, we also use products designed to break down odor-causing minerals and substances, followed by extraction.
When contamination reaches the filling
Where the source has penetrated deeper, treatment can include injecting suitable solution into the filling after assessment. The approach depends on the material and depth of contamination.
What Results to Expect
Results depend on the fabric and how deeply the odor source has penetrated. Deep contamination may need additional treatment, and some odors can remain or return. We’ll discuss the expected result before starting.
