Mattress Stains and Odor Assessment

The appearance of a mark does not tell the whole story. When preparing your quote, we’ll discuss the stain and any products previously used so we can assess a suitable treatment.

Cleaning may improve soil and some stains, but it cannot promise a like-new surface or complete odor removal from deeply affected filling. We explain limits before treatment.

What Our Mattress Cleaning Service Includes

After assessing the material and its care requirements, our standard cleaning includes these stages:

1. Dry vacuuming. We remove loose dry dirt before applying cleaning products.
2. Shampoo application. We apply a cleaning shampoo suitable for the material.
3. Brush agitation. Mechanical brushing helps loosen embedded soil, with the approach adjusted to the fabric.
4. Extraction and pH neutralization. We extract loosened dirt and cleaning solution and neutralize the pH as part of the cleaning process.
5. Local stain treatment. Standard cleaning includes targeted treatment with specialist stain removers where suitable. Permanent marks may remain.

If you also need sofa or sectional cleaning, include those items in the same request. We can confirm the scope for your visit together.

What to Expect at Home

We review the mattress and problem areas, discuss appropriate cleaning and confirm the agreed work. Please share the manufacturer’s care instructions when available.

Remove bedding and personal items before the appointment, and tell us about stairs or restricted access when booking. Leave enough time after the visit for drying.

Drying Before You Make the Bed

Drying time depends on the material, the cleaning needed and the conditions in the room. Ask for an estimate for your mattress rather than assuming it will be ready immediately.

Leave the mattress uncovered while it dries, with airflow in the room. Wait until the cleaned surfaces are fully dry before adding sheets or a mattress protector and sleeping on it. If you need the bed that night, tell us before booking so we can discuss timing; we cannot promise it will be ready by bedtime.
